At the documentary screening on tigers

April 26, 2017: On April 19 I landed at the Kolkata airport from Hyderabad and went straight to Hotel Hindustan International to attend the celebration party of Kaushik Ganguly whose film Bishorjon has won the National Award for the best Bengali film.

I congratulated him for this stupendous achievement. I attended his success party and met many others who joined him in his happy moment.

At the screening of The Tiger Who Crossed the Line

On Wednesday (April 26) I was the chief guest at an event organized by Society for Heritage and Ecological Researches (SHER) for the special screening of National Award winning wildlife documentary called The Tiger Who Crossed the Line. The documentary was about tigers in India that live outside the forest reserves and game parks.

With Tonushree, Sohini and Arindam Sil

Film maker Arindam Sil introduced the director, Krishnendu Bose, in the presence of Tollywood actresses Tonushree Chakrabarty and Sohini Sarkar and other guests. Both of them have acted in Arindam Sil’s latest film Durga Sohay. I wished them all the best for the film’s premiere which I shall not be able to attend.

Later in the evening, I met Mr Alexey M Idamkin, the new Consul General of the Russian Federation, at the The Taj Bengal Chambers. He replaces Irina Bashkirova.
