the
fourth
event
in
the
Desert
Souls
series
took
place
at
Hotel
ITC
Rajputana.
Desert
Souls
is
getting
very
popular.
The
Rajasthan
Forum
member
and
eminent
painter
Vidyasagar
Upadhyaya
was
in
conversation
with
guest
Suresh
Sharma
who
is
an
eminent
artist.
Suresh
Sharma's
work
epitomises
a
generation
of
outstanding
Rajasthani
artists
born
in
the
30s.
Sharma,
who
emerged
in
the
art
scene
in
the
60s,
is
known
for
his
style
of
Abstract
Expressionism.
Emotional
intensity,
spontaneity
and
the
use
of
sub-consciousimagery
are
the
hallmark
of
his
work.
His
paintings
are
often
formless
or
abstract,
shaped
by
his
own
aesthetic
requirements.
While
his
earlier
work
on
hard-edged
acrylic
canvases
remind
us
of
the
use
of
symmetry,
proportion
and
scale,
a
strong
personal
technique
combined
with
a
flawless
composition,
influenced
by
the
20th
Century
art,
bears
the
artistic
signature
of
Suresh's
work
in
the
70s.
